August 29th marks the birthday of Charlie "Bird" Parker, the world’s most famous jazz alto saxophonist. To honor his legacy, The Jazz Collective is expanding their usual quartet into a powerhouse sextet! They are bringing in two of the city's top alto saxophone players to join their trumpet, piano, bass, and drum rhythm section to breathe fresh life into Parker's greatest compositions.
The Experience: Throughout their two-set performance, we will guide you through a flight of four distinct Toboggan beers, poured from light to dark. Each brew has been carefully selected to match the mood, tempo, and flavor of the music being played by The Jazz Collective.
Set 1 (The Lighter Side): Sip on our crisp Holy Roller Lager and smooth Rusty Sled Amber while the band swings through classics like "Yardbird Suite" and "A Night in Tunisia."
Set 2 (Dark & Complex): Transition into the bolder flavors of our Lunatic Fridge IPA and the rich Blackfriars Bridge Vanilla Stout as the music heats up with the fast-paced "Cherokee" and settles into the sultry "'Round Midnight."

Great Balls of Fire 2026: Fundraiser for Young Adult Cancer Canada
Saturday, November 14th, Doors at 5pm
We are incredibly honoured to partner with the Greeson family to welcome back Great Balls of Fire!—an annual musical fundraiser featuring fantastic live entertainment for an amazing cause.
This special event is held in loving memory of Nicholas Greeson, who passed away at the age of 23 in 2018 after a courageous six-year battle with testicular cancer. We are joining forces with Nick’s family to help keep his memory alive, raise crucial awareness about cancer in young adults, and collect donations for Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC), an organization that provides incredible support for families navigating youth cancer.
Specifically, the family's goal this year is to raise enough money to send as many young adult cancer patients as possible to a YACC conference, where they can receive much-needed moral support and community connection. The event also proudly champions awareness for Movember and Testicular Cancer Canada.
Come on down to Toboggan for a night of great food, cold drinks, live music, and community spirit, all for a truly worthy cause.
